Who we are

Our mission is to create spaces where humans can feel safe to be themselves — and perhaps, if lucky, go a bit deeper and discover who one truly is through community, movement, nature, mindfulness and playfulness

Conscious Escape is the overarching brand through which we create experiences, workshops, retreats, and private yoga classes — in the Netherlands and beyond — all designed to help you reconnect and recharge.

The Birth of the Idea

It began quietly, without a plan. Just a few of us, gathered around a small kitchen table in the Basque mountains. Dinner was simple — vegetables from the garden, a bit of cider, long pauses between conversations, though those were filled with laughter.

We talked about how peaceful life had become there — the rhythm of nature, the honesty of soil, the stillness after a day of work outdoors. Knowing that each one of us had to go through our own journey to get here, landed in this peace - the question swas born -> “What if we shared this?”(soft jazz music with bird voices on the background).

What if we can guide others, and create a safe space, which is not too much organised and polishes, but just raw and true, so everyone can see how it is, not how the idealised version of it, and just meet themselves in it and feel … calm?

From that moment, things began to align on their own. We each carried a piece of what could make it real — yoga, movement, gardening, community building, cooking, storytelling and of course a knowledge of the area, not from a touristic perspective, the polished one, but seeing more true routines, of the locals.

Slowly, the pieces started to fit together. It wasn’t about creating something new, but about remembering what already works — nature’s way of bringing things into balance.

Our Services

  • Trips

We travel together to places with raw, authentic nature and rich local culture, and we practice our pillars — movement, nature, mindfulness, playfulness, and community. These experiences are guided yet down-to-earth, filled with workshops and balanced with free time. Each trip carries its own theme and welcomes a diverse group of participants.

The Team

  • I lived in cities all my life. When you’re born in one — Kyiv, Ukraine, in my case — it feels like the path is chosen for you. Even when I moved across countries, I always ended up in the heart of a capital, wrapped in people, motion, noise. The city offered comfort, opportunity, and the illusion of connection. I built my career there, learned its rules, convinced myself this was what life was supposed to be — until it became obvious that it wasn’t.

Years of living in that “always on” rhythm slowly numbed me. Stress became my default setting. I drifted away from my body, from community, from feeling anything real. And when the war erupted in my home country, it shook me awake. It showed me how fragile everything is, and how far I’d wandered from what truly matters: peace, presence, belonging.

My way back started on a yoga mat. There, I felt my body again — its pulse, its wisdom. I became a yoga teacher to understand that feeling more deeply. Then I gathered the courage to leave the office world and set out on a journey to learn about inner peace, freedom, and what keeps them alive inside us.

I travelled to the foothills of the Himalayas searching for truth, only to realise it had always lived within. I went to a peace research centre in southern Portugal to learn about community and harmony. I dug my hands into the soil during a permaculture design course in Sintra, learning what it means to follow nature’s rhythms. I walked the Camino, opened my mind through a psychedelic ritual, volunteered in a food-forest project, and followed many other threads of self-discovery. And each one taught me the same thing: real joy comes from simplicity — nature, community, movement, play.

All these paths led me to one quiet truth: sometimes you need to escape — not from life, and not from yourself, but from the noise, the pace, the expectations. Only then can you hear what’s real inside. A conscious escape isn’t running away; it’s returning — to your body, your breath, your essence.
That’s where the seed of Conscious Escape was planted: in my own longing for connection, stillness, and meaning.

  • Marketing Director

The last eight years I’ve been self-employed in marketing. It gave me lots of freedom to travel, try new things, see new places, and live in a way that many people would call “free.” But at some point I realized that happiness isn’t about doing a lot or collecting experiences. It’s about small moments and having someone to share them with.

I have passion for life. That’s why I’m always picking up new hobbies, meeting new people, and exploring what’s out there. I also love pushing the lines of social standards, and I’m a huge advocate for authenticity and letting people be who they are.

Somewhere in between all of this, sport became a big part of my life. I love the feeling of lightness after a hiit workout, being competitive when playing badminton, letting myself be loose when dancing. Basically any kind of sport that makes me feel alive and connected to my body.

I also love writing. Can’t imagine not putting my thoughts into words and sharing them. I believe everyone has something valuable to share.

And I deeply believe in the power of community and connection. When people find something they are truly passionate about, they can create amazing things, especially when they unite with each other.

That’s exactly what I want to bring to Conscious Escape: cozy evenings together, sharing stories, getting inspired by each other, creating a space where everyone can be themselves and show their unique sides — which I honestly believe is the most precious thing people can offer one another.
